I Will Change My Fate To Be Executed

1. The crown princess who murdered the crown prince

My first night as the Crown Princess. before that fateful night.

There was no picture, no honor. It was only the beginning of a terrible misfortune. The dagger in my hand was stained red with my husband's blood.

After the wedding, I waited for my husband at Ruby Palace, our home, but he didn't show up.

Tired of waiting for him without even taking off my heavy wedding robe, I fell asleep after drinking the alcohol my maid gave me, but when I woke up to a scream, the Crown Prince had been murdered.

The crown prince's blurred pupils, like a dead fish, were drained of life.

On the bed where he was lying, there was red blood everywhere and a dagger in my hand dripping with blood that had not yet cooled. I dropped the dagger, my hands were shaking.

The sound of my palpitating heart resonated in my ears. No matter how hard I tried to understand what happened, my mind kept drawing blanks.

So I was falsely accused of murdering the Crown Prince, my husband on the first night of his wedding as a new bride.

"The Crown Princess has murdered His Majesty the Crown Prince! Lock down the Crown Princess now!"

The guards rushed at me in unison.

"Let go of me! Can't you let me go?! How dare you touch me!"

I twisted my whole body and resisted, but no one listened to me.

Being dragged into the dungeon, no matter how much I thought about it, I couldn't understand why I was going through this. The marble floor of the imperial family touching the tip of my feet felt cold.

What is wrong? What the hell happened that charged me with the assassination of the crown prince?

The crown prince had never seen my face properly before. I had never received a warm look from him. He was the only one who would always throw cold glances at me, the girl who was raised to be the crown princess.

For the past two years, whenever we made eye contact from a distance, He would walk away with a cold expression on his face. He was the one who ignored me so I couldn't even come close.

It was only a week before the wedding that I began to see his face properly. I've never seen a smiling face with a hard-spoken tone. At first, I began to regret being his fiancee when only gave me cold looks.

Whenever I started to regret, my mother and father would always look so proud of me. Looking at my brother, I thought that gaining the love of the crown prince wouldn't make me a good crown princes, but instead I should gain the love of the people to be a good crown princess

However, for the past 2 years, the only result that came to me, who had been learning the royal education to become a member of the Imperial Palace, was the charge of murdering the Crown Prince.

All this time, what has my life been like?

So far I have been…..

Had I spent all this time learning imperial etiquette to be imprisoned in a dungeon that does not shine a single light for unfair crimes? What was more depressing than being in a dark dungeon where only cockroaches crawled around, was not being able to hear a word from my family.

It was my old friend who woke me from the silence. No, it was Rosalie, who I believed was a friend.

"They didn't offer you a meal? Poor Venity. How did this happen? I made it myself. Go ahead and eat this."

Rosalie, who looked sorry at me, immediately threw a sandwich at me.

"Hey, what are you doing? Rosalie!"

"What are you doing? Do you know how much I didn't want to hear every time you complained that you didn't want to be the crown princess? How dare you go up to the place where I wanted to go and complain in front of me that you don't want to be the crown princess?"

There was anger and hatred in Rosalie's voice. She was obviously looking at me with an evil look on her face.

"Then, why didn't you tell me? You've never shown any dislike to me! You always comfort me and understand me then Why! Are you here now!"

"You still don't understand? Is it because of your stupidity? It's so funny how you couldn't even notice me pretending to understand or comfort you. Isn't it boring to show that? Even if you pretend to be arrogant on the outside, you can't even guess the hearts of those around you. Pffftt-. Isn't that funny?"

I clenched my fist trembling with disappointment and betrayal. Because I never imagined that Rosalie, who had never expressed such an expression, would have such thoughts in her heart.

"Only... that's why you stayed by my side for such a long time…. I thought all the time I had spent to become the Crown Princess was wasted…. Now that I see it, there was someone else who really wasted their time. I've always envied you for being sweet, but now I see you're just a clown trying to hide your inferiority complex filled with envy."

Rosalie's eyes flashed furiously. She began to stare at me with fierce eyes like a petulant beast.

"What? clown? Me? Wasting my time? Haha. You really can't see an inch ahead. Seriously, how can you, who lived as the prince's fiancee, know what's going on in the world. The only reason I've been by your side is that I want to see your face like this. It's like crying tears of blood over the betrayal I feel for a friend I believed in!"

My hands that were clenched hard to keep calm started trembling. To say that she wanted to see me shed bloodied tears meant that Rosalie must have known that Karzan, the crown prince, would eventually die and that I would be falsely accused.

"What do you mean? So you mean you know the person who murdered His Highness? You already knew I'd be framed for murdering the Crown Prince!"

I wanted to keep my cool. I didn't want to show my despair with such a scream, That I was framed, I was trembling with betrayal, and realized that Rosalie knew that I was going to be in this situation.

Rosalie opened her eyes wide and soon burst into laughter. Her vulgar laughter resonated in the dungeon.

"You're about to be executed, Venity. Until you are executed in this dungeon, you will suffer from all kinds of delusions, cry desperately, and die! By the way, make sure to pick up that sandwich. I'm already proud to think that your last dinner is a sandwich I made."

"Ho- hold on! My parents, what happened to my parents? Huh?"

At my cry, Rosalie stopped her way and turned her head to look at me. I wanted to spit on that fishy smile, but now, more than anything else, I desperately wanted the news of my parents.

"You want your parents to survive after what you've done? The Duke and his men all died trying to help your family. Now you know how many people died because of you?! So quietly admit your sins and die! When you die, everyone will be at peace."

I endured with all my might, but I didn't even have the strength to stand up in the cold, thinking that my parents might have already died.

No, maybe it's right to assume that my parents had already died. The thought of that put me in so much distress that I couldn't even breathe. Neither the anger of betrayal against Rosalie nor the remorse of assassinating the Crown Prince was anything in the face of my parents' life or death. It was miserable that my parents might have already died because of me.

At some point, the darkness continued so terribly that I didn't even know how long had passed. The silence broke once again and as someone's footsteps grew closer and ended with a gasp. It was Princess Silaina who approached me in the dark with a lamp and something in her hand with moist eyes.

"Yo, Your Highness…."

The princess, who had called me with a voice close to crying, immediately put down the lamp and greeted me so that the hem of her skirt was swept to the floor.

"Your Highness. Your noble and beautiful face has become emaciated. In order to reveal Your Highness’s innocence, I deciphered Your Highness Diary, but that alone was not enough to reveal your Innocence. I'm sorry, Your Highness. I don't have the decency to see you, your highness…..."

The princess was unable to speak anymore because she was crying.

"I'm fine, so don't worry, Princess. However, I am curious about my family. What happened to my family?"

She couldn't answer and wiped away her tears and handed me something in her hand.

"First of all, take this. Your Highness."

What the princess gave me was like a magic book, but I couldn't read the magic characters, so I couldn't figure out what it was.

"What is this?"

"It's a keepsake of the Crown Prince. Have you ever heard of a witch's sheet music?"

"It's an ancient legend object."

"This is the witch's music sheet. Get it, come on."

Witch's music sheet. It was a music sheet containing a witch's song made by the husband of a woman who was unjustly executed for being a witch in ancient times. It was a legendary object that was said to have the opportunity to undo the unfairness of life.

"Listen carefully, Your Highness. Your Highness will be executed soon. Then, by all means, hold this sheet music and sing the witch's song. Please. Got it? Then Your Highness will be able to fix all of this."

I received the witch's sheet music from the princess and put it in my arms. Can I really fix all this……

"Your Highness. Next time. Please fix all these things. You'll definitely be able to!"

The voice of the princess grew louder as the guards approached.

"The Abandoned Crown Princess, please come out and receive the emperor's orders."

The guards passed the princess, opened the iron gate, and tried to muzzle my mouth. Then the princess stopped in front of me and slapped the prison guard on the cheek.

"What rudeness is this! To Her Highness, the crown princess of this country! What do you mean by muzzling her highness! You're crazy!"

“We have been given orders to gag The Abandoned Crown Princess mouth. There was also a royal command that if you were rebellious, you could pull out your tongue, Your Highness."

"No, you must not do it! To muzzle the crown princess of this country! I’d rather you muzzle me instead! You bastards!"

The princess was desperate to stop the guards who were trying to muzzle me. I slowly grabbed the princess' arm.

"Princess, I'm fine. I'll take the will of the Emperor. So please stop it."

Tears welled up in Princess Silaina's eyes. She clenched her chest and cried as if she was tearing out of her resentment.
